Karen Carifee is the CEO and Founder of Wanderlust Travel Jetsetter, a full-service travel agency she launched four years ago with a passion for meaningful travel and exceptional client care. From day one, Karen committed herself to mastering every aspect of the travel industry, immersing herself in ongoing education, supplier certifications, and firsthand experiences across the globe to ensure her clients receive expert guidance and unforgettable journeys.
Having traveled extensively throughout the world, Karen brings real-life insight and personal knowledge to every trip she designs. She specializes in ocean and river cruises, guided land tours, African safaris, and custom international travel to destinations including Europe, Asia, Australia, South America, as well as thoughtfully planned vacations throughout the United States. Her numerous supplier certifications allow her to offer elevated service, exclusive experiences, and trusted recommendations tailored to each client’s travel style.
Believing strongly in the power of relationships, Karen opened a local office in New Braunfels, creating an elevated, personal experience where clients can connect face-to-face and feel fully supported from planning through return. She is a full-time, full-service travel advisor who prides herself on being accessible, knowledgeable, and deeply invested in her clients’ journeys.
Karen holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Retail Merchandising Management and brings years of leadership experience from management roles across multiple industries. She is also the co-owner of Climate Express Home Services, where her commitment to excellence, organization, and customer satisfaction continues to thrive.
At the heart of everything Karen does is family and community. She is a devoted wife to her husband, Bob, a proud mother of three, and a loving “KK” to her grandson, Lukas, with a growing family that brings her endless joy. Deeply rooted in the New Braunfels community, Karen values giving back and actively supports local charities and organizations whenever possible.

I am a devoted wife, mother, and grandma, and I cherish the time spent with family and friends. My life revolves around the laughter and love of my loved ones, and I believe that family is the heart of everything I do.
Professionally, I wear many hats. As a daycare center owner, I own a daycare where we nurture young minds and create a safe, engaging environment for children to learn and grow. It is incredibly rewarding to be part of their early development. As a realtor, I help families find their dream homes as well as commercial real estate. This role allows me to connect with people and guide them through significant life decisions, which I find immensely gratifying. I am also one of the owners of Par Tee Haus Golf & Bar, which allows me to combine my love for hosting gatherings with my entrepreneurial spirit. I enjoy creating spaces where friends and family can come together to celebrate life’s special moments.
As a travel agent, my passion for travel translates directly into my work. I love helping others plan their adventures and ensuring they have memorable experiences across the globe. Travel holds a special place in my heart. Prior to opening my daycare, I worked for Southwest Airlines for ten years. This experience fueled my passion for exploring new places and enriched my understanding of the travel industry, which I now apply to my role as a travel agent. I thrive on having a good time, whether it is going out with friends or enjoying a cozy evening with family. My life is a beautiful blend of work, play, and love, and I am grateful for every opportunity to create lasting memories with those who matter most.
